SC - Public Feedback on Capital Markets and Services Act 2007
On 16 May 2023, Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) issued a media release stating that SC is undertaking a holistic review of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 (CMSA), a key legislation that regulates the Malaysian capital market and in seeking to ensure that the securities laws remain fit-for-purpose.
The review is part of the SC’s efforts to modernise the CMSA and promote efficiencies to enable the capital market to remain competitive while maintaining adequate investor protection.
Members are welcome to submit their comments and feedback to the Technical & Research Department at technical@maicsa.org.my no later than 10 June 2023.
