Ms. Ivy Chin So Ching is a member of the Council, having been elected during the AGM 2024. She was previously co-opted to the Council in July 2023 and completed her term at the conclusion of the AGM.

She currently serves as Chairman of the Young Company Secretaries Working Group and Deputy Chairman of the Training and Professional Development Committee. She is also the Council's representative on the Institute's Audit Committee and a member of the Technical Compliance and Governance Committee for 2024/2025.

In her professional capacity, she holds the position of Company Secretary and Head of Corporate Governance at HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad.

She has over 25 years of experience in corporate secretarial and corporate governance roles, having worked for large corporate secretarial firms and financial institutions, both local and global.

She is currently a Fellow and Chartered Governance Professional of MAICSA. She also holds an MBA (Global Business) with Distinction from Coventry University, UK.
