LHDNM - Instalment Payment Application Service for Outstanding Tax or Tax Arrears

On 18 March 2025, Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM) issued a media release stating that taxpayers can now apply for instalment payments of outstanding tax or tax arrears online through the e-Ansuran service on the MyTax Portal, effective 5 March 2025.

This initiative aims to simplify the process for taxpayers by allowing them to apply for instalment payments conveniently and receiving auto-approval without the need for any supporting documents.

Eligibility criteria for e-Ansuran:

• The total outstanding amount must exceed RM 300.00.
• Instalments must be between two (2) and six (6) payments.
• Applicable only to income tax (including any surcharge, if applicable).
• Not applicable to instalments that are already in effect.
