Effective Date of LLPs (Amendment) Act 2024 |

SSM issued a media release stating that the Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) (Amendment) Act 2024 will be implemented in stages starting today. The LLPs (Amendment) Act 2024 contains 13 clauses consisting of three policy clusters: The LLPs (Amendment) Act 2024 will be implemented in three phases:

Phase Three of the Companies (Amendment) Act 2024 |

SSM issued an announcement stating that Phase Three of the Companies (Amendment) Act 2024 [Act A1701], specifically related to Sections 4, 14, 26 and 28 of the ACT A1701, namely amendment of section 68, substitution of section 395, amendment of section 576, and new section 612A respectively and the Companies (Amendment of Eighth Schedule) Order 2025, will come into force on 31 January 2025. Phase One of Act A1701 was enforced on 1 April 2024, while Phase Two was enforced on 30 November 2024. With the enforcement of Phase Three of Act A1701 and the Companies (Amendment of Eighth Schedule) Order 2025, all provisions under Act A1701 and its related subsidiary legislation had been fully effective.
