LHDNM - New Format of Official Receipt for Manual Tax Payment

On 21 January 2025, Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM) issued a media release stating that following the amendment of Treasury Circular PS 4.1: Guidelines on Application for Government Finance Form which was approved by the Ministry of Finance in October 2024, LHDNM will issue official receipts in a new format as proof of tax payment for submission over the counters at the Kuala Lumpur Revenue Collection Management Centre (PPTHKL) effective from 20 January 2025.

In line with the mandatory use of e-Services for online services provided by HASiL effective from 1 January 2024, the types of manual tax payments accepted at PPTHKL are now limited as follows:

• Compound payments; and
• Income tax payments (using debit/credit cards issued in Malaysia).
