SSM – Compliance With Sections 244, 247 and 250 of the Companies Act 2016
On 5 December 2023, the Corporate Compliance Division of the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) issued e-postcards creating awareness for directors to comply with Sections 244 (1), 247(1), 250(1), 250(2), 250(3), 250(4) of the Companies Act 2016 (CA2016). Companies and directors who fail to comply with the said provisions are subject to general penalty as stipulated in Section 588 of the CA2016.
