Federal Gazette - Stamp Duty Orders

On 9 June 2023, Federal Government gazetted the following Orders:

1.	Stamp Duty (Exemption) Order 2023
In respect of any loan agreement to finance the purchase of residential property through the Malaysian Home Ownership Initiative (i-Miliki) under the Home Ownership Programme 2022/2023, the value of which is not more than RM500,000 subject to such other terms and conditions as stipulated in the Stamp Duty (Exemption) Order 2023 (Order). 2.	Stamp Duty (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2023
In respect of all instruments of transfer for the purchase of a residential property through the Malaysian Home Ownership Initiative (i-Miliki) under the Home Ownership Programme 2022/2023, the value which is not more than RM500,000, executed by an individual subject to such other terms and conditions as stipulated in the Stamp Duty (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2023 (Order). 3.	Stamp Duty (Exemption) (No. 3) Order 2023
In respect of all instruments of transfer of any immovable property operating as a voluntary disposition inter vivos from the donor specified in column (2) of the Schedule to the recipient specified in column (3) of the Schedule as annexed in the Stamp Duty (Exemption) (No. 3) Order 2023 (Order). 4.	Stamp Duty (Remission) (No. 2) Order 2023
In respect of the Minister of Finance will remit 75% from the stamp duty chargeable on any instrument of transfer for the purchase of a residential property through the Malaysian Home Ownership Initiative (i-Miliki) under the Home Ownership Programme 2022/2023, the value of which is more than RM500,000 but not more than RM1 million, executed by an individual subject to such other terms and conditions as stipulated in the Stamp Duty (Remission) (No. 2) Order 2023 (Order).
