Customs - Tourism Tax Policy No. 1/2023
On 16 February 2023, the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (Customs) issued the Tourism Tax (TTx) Policy No. 1/2023 relating the responsibility of the registered digital platform service provider (DPSP) to charge, collect, account and remit the TTx to Customs for online booking of an accommodation premise made by a tourist through a registered DPSP starting from 1 April 2023.
