An Avid Scuba Diver
Li Chen was elected as an Associate member of MAICSA in 1995.
Currently, she is the Chief Executive Officer of Hick-Woode Corporate Services
Sdn Bhd. She completed her ICSA examination in June, the same year. She started
her career as a management assistant from 1985 to 1989 in a legal firm and from
1990 to 1991, she was a legal secretary with Messrs Mak & Associates.
Thereafter, Li Chen joined Secfin Sdn Bhd, a secretarial firm as
its secretarial assistant before joining M&C Services Sdn Bhd as
secretarial executive in 1992.
She has completed her LLB with honours in 2003 and is currently
pursuing the Certificate of Legal Practice.
Her hobbies are travelling, outdoor activities such as scuba
diving, swimming, qigong etc and reading. As an avid diver, Li Chen has been to
the deep oceans of Pulau Aur, Pulau Redang and Pulau Perhentian, among other
diving paradises in Malaysia.

More than 20 Years of Experience
Lena was elected as a Fellow member of MAICSA in 1994.
Currently, she is the Group Company Secretary of General Corporation Berhad
(GCB), a public company listed on the main board of Bursa Malaysia.
She started her career as an Assistant Company Secretary of GCB
from January 1980 till August 1986 and was subsequently promoted to Manager –
Secretarial/Share Registration. Prior to this, Lena was attached to Barbinder
& Co (an associate company of Coopers & Lybrand), a professional
secretarial and accountancy firm for more than 10 years.
Lena has a career spanning more than 20 years with wide
experience in company secretarial, share registration, administration and
personnel matters. She is a member of the Technical Committee 2005 of MAICSA.
She also served in the Corporate Governance Committee in year 2004.
She completed her diploma in business studies in 1978 from
Tunku Abdul Rahman College, Kuala Lumpur and obtained the
ICSA qualification in 1978.
Her hobbies are reading and travelling.

A Top 20 Company Secretary
Samantha was elected as an Associate of MAICSA in 1995.
Currently, she is the Managing Director of M&C Services Sdn Bhd, a company
that provides corporate secretarial, accounts and payroll and related services.
She is one of the top 20 company secretaries whose clients include public
listed companies. She graduated with a Diploma in Business Management from
Tunku Abdul Rahman College in June 1992 and obtained the ICSA qualification in
August the same year.
She joined Paramount Corporation Berhad, an investment holding
company as a Secretarial Assistant in 1992 and in May 1994, she joined the
Corporate Secretarial Division of Barbinder & Co Private (now known as
Evathouse), a company dealing in corporate services in Singapore, as its
Secretarial Assistant.
She subsequently joined M&C in 1995. During her period with
Barbinder and M&C, Samantha developed comprehensive experience in the
completion and advice of corporate secretarial requirements including due
diligence reviews for corporate restructuring and related services such as
liquidation for companies incorporated in Malaysia and abroad. Her group of
clients includes public listed companies, private limited companies, foreign
companies, representative offices and unincorporated bodies.
Her main hobbies are reading, skiing, scuba diving and spending
quality time with her family.

Enjoys Doing Social Work
Yuet Mei, a Chartered Secretary has been a Fellow of MAICSA
since August 1995. Currently, she is the General Manager, Karambunai Corp Bhd,
in charge of Group Company Secretariat.
Yuet Mei started her career with an accounting firm, namely
Payne Davis & Co after completing her studies in Diploma in Commerce
(Financial Accounting) from Tunku Abdul Rahman College and continued as a Team
Leader in charge of corporate secretarial matters in Excelsior Services (Ipoh)
Sdn Bhd from 1979 till 1981.
Her career advancement started when she was employed as Group
Company Secretary of a conglomerate involved in trading, event management,
property development, construction and joint ventures with Tokyu Corporation
Ltd for building prefabricated homes. In 1986, she joined the public listed
company, FACB Berhad now known as Karambunai Corp Bhd as the Senior Company
Secretary where she held the position till year 1993 before being promoted to
her current position.
Yuet Mei serves on the Membership Committee of MAICSA and has
participated in the Revamp of Companies Act 1965 Task Force Meetings. She is
currently a member of the Investigating Tribunal Panel of the Advocates &
Solicitors Disciplinary Board of Bar Council, Malaysia.
During her free time, Yuet Mei enjoys doing social work and
travelling overseas with her family.
