| Objectives |

To provide deserving students who have good academic talents but
are not able to pursue professional education due to financial constraints. |

To encourage graduates with good academic achievements to be
trained in company secretaryship with the long term objective of creating more
multidisciplinary and equipped members. |

To contribute to the development and well-being of the people
and the nation and to enhance the social role and responsibility of the
Institute. |

| Eligibility |
|
The awards are open to Malaysian citizens who are current
students on the register of MAICSA.
Those students who are holders of degree, postgraduate
programmes, diplomas, STPM or equivalent are eligible to apply. Preference will
be given to those majoring in finance, law, business administration and
taxation. |

| Terms of Awards |
|
During the tenure of the scholarship each recipient will receive
a sum of RM6,000 per academic year for all categories of awards.
Upon the completion of the ICSA examination, the recipients will be required to service the
scholarship bond by accepting appropriate appointments at the Institute. The
period of the service bond shall be determined by the Scholarship Selection
Panel. The Panel shall have the discretion to waive the service bond on a
case-to-case basis. |

| Conditions of the Award |
|
The recipients are required to complete all modules of the ICSA
examination within the prescribed time frame. In the event of failure to
complete the ICSA examination within the prescribed time frame and no extension
is granted by the Scholarship Selection Panel, the scholarship shall be
converted to loans, payable partly or wholly, in accordance with the duration
taken to complete the ICSA examination.
The recipients are required to attend full time classes at
colleges approved by the Scholarship Selection Panel.
Applicants must not be currently receiving scholarships or
financial aid from other educational institutions or organisations. |

| Method of Application |
|
Applications should be made on prescribed
application forms obtainable from the Secretariat.
No candidate shall be awarded a scholarship without an interview
by the Scholarship Selection Panel.
The cost of travel to this interview will be borne by the
candidates. |
|
| Acceptance of Offer |
|
| The recipients will be required to execute scholarship
agreements and be bound by the Terms and Conditions of the awards. |
|
| Disqualification and Termination |
|
A recipient may be disqualified if he/she violates or fails to
adhere to any of the Terms and Conditions of the award. On disqualification,
any benefits or rights that the recipient enjoys will be withdrawn and the
award terminated.
In the event of disqualification, the recipient must reimburse
the full sum paid to him/her by instalments, the amount of such instalments to
be determined by the Scholarship Selection Panel. The first instalment shall be
made immediately following the termination of the scholarship. |
