SSM - Revised Practice Directive No. 2/2020

A revised Practice Directive No. 2/2020 was issued by Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) on 29 March 2021 granting a moratorium period of thirty (30) days, to take effect from 15 April 2021, for a management company to renew its prospectus or product disclosure statement. This moratorium period is applicable for those registered prospectuses or product disclosure statements, which have an expiry period from 18 March 2020 until 15 April 2021.

The PD2/2020 was issued pursuant to subparagraph 35(a) of Part I of the Second Schedule of the Interest Schemes Act 2016 and served to provide a moratorium for the renewal of prospectuses or product disclosure statements that have expired during the enforcement of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Declaration of Infected Local Areas) Order 2020, and the subsequent extension of the Orders (MCO) due to the COVID-19 pandemic..
