Bursa - Extension of Suspension of Intraday and Proprietary Day Traders Short Selling

On 22 February 2021 Bursa Malaysia Berhad (Bursa) and Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) issued a media release on the extension of the temporary suspension, on Intraday Short Selling (IDSS) and intraday short selling by Proprietary Day Traders (PDT Short Sale), from 28 February 2021 to 29 August 2021.

The temporary suspension of IDSS and PDT Short Sale is part of the regulators’ proactive measures to mitigate potential risks arising from heightened volatility and global uncertainties.
