SSM Responses
The Institute is constantly engaging with relevant authorities on the issues affecting members, and to this end the Institute had recently sought the goodwill of the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), on the following issues, amongst others:
| a) | to clarify the effective date to state the Beneficial Owners’ (BO) information in the revised section 68 Form which is required to be filed over-the-counter (OTC); |
| b) | to clarify whether the BO information will be publicly accessible upon submission of the OTC; |
| c) | to extend the deadline for the submission of statutory documents under MBRS OTC to align with the expected resumption of the operation of MBRS either on 1 March 2020, or, if it is possible, to 31 March 2021. |
We wish to inform Members that the SSM had on 12 January 2021 responded on the above issues.
