Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has on, 11 January 2021, announced a 14-day Movement Control Order (MCO) 2.0 imposed on Selangor, Penang, Melaka, Johor, Sabah and the Federal Territories (Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya), effective from 13 January 2021 to 26 January 2021.
The states of Pahang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan will be placed under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), while Perlis and the Borneo state of Sarawak will be placed under the recovery phase of the MCO.
The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) has today released their responses to the frequently asked questions (FAQs) where certain professional service providers are allowed to operate during the MCO 2.0.
The Institute has written to MITI to seek clarification as to whether the company secretary would be given the same concession to operate during this MCO 2.0. The relevant announcement will be released in due course.
