MAICSA president Akbar Moidunny FCIS and deputy president Zainal Abidin Pit FCIS had a meeting with Universiti Utara
Malaysia’s (UUM) College of Business assistant vice chancellor Associate Prof Dr
Mahamad Tayib on 14 April 2008 in Sintok, Kedah.
Dr Mahamad welcomed and briefed MAICSA delegation on the recent restructuring exercise
of the University, a result of which was the establishment of the College of Business.
The meeting then proceeded to discuss the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) that was signed between MAICSA and UUM on 2 July 2007. The platform was also
used to discuss future collaborations between the two parties.
Also present at the meeting were the college’s research and postgraduate dean Prof
Dr Zakaria Abas, its student development and entrepreneurship dean Associate Prof
Dr Nor Hayati Ahmad, marketing and events director Mejar Kamaludin Chin, MAICSA
CEO Philip Tan and corporate communications manager Nazliah Zaharah Mohamed.
