The Institute organised a seminar on Review of Company Law 2007 at Bangunan MAICSA in Mid Valley City on 25 February 2008. The objectives of the seminar were to equip corporate officers with a reasonably good understanding of company law so as to function effectively in a corporate environment and to expose participants to issues drawn from a vast landscape of company law.

Court cases from Malaysia and Singapore in 2007 relating to company law were discussed at the seminar to show the application of the law to real-life situations. Among the topics covered were company directors, directors’ duties and liabilities, meetings and enforcement of corporate rights.

Teng Kam Wah, an advocate and solicitor conducted the seminar which was attended by 29 participants.
