Admission Criterias
The admission as an Affiliate is open to persons who do not possess the ICSA qualification but are otherwise engaged in the profession of corporate secretaryship and administration, corporate compliance and allied fields to the satisfaction of the Council.
A Members of prescribed bodies under Section 139A(a) of the Companies Act 1965
B Persons licensed by the Companies Commission of Malaysia pursuant to section 139A(b) of the Companies Act 1965
C Any other person who has demonstrated interest in the profession of company secretaryship, corporate governance and corporate administration to the satisfaction of the council

Free subscription to MAICSA’s quarterly journal, The Chartered Secretary Malaysia
Free access to MAICSA’s technical bulletin, Technical & Professional Updates
Access to Technical e-query service
Member’s rate for all MAICSA publications, e.g. MAICSA CSP Manual, Independent Directors- Principles and Best Practices, Directors & Corporate Officers - Case Summaries
Member’s rate for all continuing professional education and development programmes organised by the Training Division of MAICSA
Access to MAICSA library reference and lending services and internet facilities
Discount of RM 100.00 on the Student Registration Fee upon enrolment as a MAICSA student
Restrictions
Restrictions on the use of post nominals and description of Chartered Secretaryship.
Participation in the Scheme will not accord a membership status with MAICSA. Affiliates do not receive all benefits available to MAICSA members, in particular, use of the full range of member services in the members-only section of the website, use of the post nominals of ACIS and FCIS and the ability to use the professional description "Chartered Secretary". However, Affiliates are allowed to describe themselves as an "Affiliate of MAICSA".
