Under the ICSA new Bye-Laws, which were implemented on 1st January 2000, MAICSA, at present a devolved Malaysian Institute of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), will become a Division with full autonomy over its affairs, including the setting of examinations and the admission of members.

As a Division, the Institute will have greater flexibility to explore and develop education programmes to meet the needs of the local environment, as well as continue to conduct the qualifying examinations of the ICSA. This latest development in his history will stand MAICSA in good stead to meet the challenges and opportunities for the profession in the next Millennium.
